Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is a highly accurate diagnostic method used to detect and evaluate hypertension by recording blood pressure at regular intervals over a 24-hour period during normal daily activities and sleep. This continuous monitoring provides a comprehensive picture of blood pressure fluctuations, helping healthcare professionals accurately diagnose high blood pressure—typically defined as a systolic reading of 140 mm Hg or above and a diastolic reading of 90 mm Hg or above.
